SNAITH & COWICK COMMUNITY-LED HOUSING QUESTIONNAIRE

As you know, Snaith and Cowick has been subjected to substantial residential development in recent years. Many of our parishioners are concerned about the impact this has on the community and the services and infrastructure we rely upon.

We know that it is often felt that concerns and issues our community have over new developments are not listened to or taken into account by leading authorities. The Town Council would therefore like to bring to your attention the concept of Community-Led Housing, which is an initiative where members of the community can play a more active part in solving housing problems and needs. This questionnaire aims to determine whether such an initiative would be suitable for Snaith and Cowick, by better understanding what our local needs are.

Snaith & Cowick Town Council are therefore kindly requesting that each household take a few minutes to answer the questions in the attached document and return it to us. You can either drop it off at the council office at 26 Market Place, Snaith or deposit it in one of the Drop-Boxes we have at the Post Office (inside Co-Op), Puntons DIY or Kealey’s Butchers. It would also be appreciated if you could include your address, so that we can track responses. If you are unable to drop off at any of these locations, we will be carrying out a house-to-house pick up in future weeks to ensure we receive answers from all households.  Alternatively, it can be returned to the following e-mail address; SnaithCowick_CLH@outlook.com

We must advise that whilst analysis of the answers provided may indicate that Community-Led Housing is not suitable for our parish, the information provided will be invaluable to us when dealing with or challenging any future development in our area.

We greatly appreciate your support and thank you for taking the time to complete this questionnaire.
