Snaith and Cowick Town Council have been supporting the Environment Agency and all other emergency services over the last 37 hours providing them with local knowledge including locations of vulnerable residents within our community and putting them in contact with the appropriate service.
The Town Council have organised the Snaith and Community Sports Hall on Pontefract Road, Snaith to open for residents if they evacuate their premises. The Priory Church, Market Place is also open to residents serving refreshments.
Advice on flooding is suppled by the Environment Agency and not the Town Council. Please monitor the Environment Agency website www.gov.uk and follow any advice they and guidance they provide.
