Job Title:            Assistant Town Clerk

Salary:                 NALC Scale 15 (£27,803) Pro Rata

Hours:                 26 Hours per week (to include some evening meetings)


The Parish of Snaith and Cowick is the ‘Gateway to the East Riding of Yorkshire’, lying just north of the M62 approximately 7 miles west of the town of Goole. With nearly 4000 parishioners, it is bustling old market town with a range of award-winning independent businesses and a strong community feel.

Snaith & Cowick Town Council is seeking to appoint an Assistant Town Clerk, supporting the Town Clerk in the delivery of Council services and general administration of the office. The Assistant Town Clerk will also deputise for the Town Clerk in their absence. Working hour arrangements are flexible.

Relevant experience in local government or in a similar environment that is applicable to the role is preferred. Applicants must also be an enthusiastic, organised and committed individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as being IT literate.
